Wayne Schoenwald, 56, passed away at home on June 1 with his family at his side. He was born July 26, 1955 to Warren and Elaine Nee Schroeder Schoenwald in Hazel Crest, IL. Wayne was an avid NASCAR racing and White Sox Fan, a proud member of the National Rifle Association anbd a dedicated supporter of VFW programs, especially those that involved wounded veterans. He loved fishing and enjoyed a yearly vacation at the riverboat casino in Tunica, MS. Wayne never told his large extended family that his favorite gifts had the names NASCAR or John Deere on them. His passions did.
Wayne was a lifelong resident of Beecher, Il and attended Beecher High School. A proud farmer who followed in his father's footsteps, He was a steward of the land for decades as both his livelihood and passion. If he wasn't working acres of corn and beans, Wayne kept busy maintaining his equipment in top-notch condition. Because of this strong work ethic, he was well-respected as an honest and dependable businessman by all who knew him.
In addition to his cherished wife Beverly, Wayne is survived by his dear mother Elaine (the late Warren), dear brothers Gary (Carol) and Roger (Stanleigh) and loved step-children Pamila Cooley, Christina Outland and Lyle Collins, Jr. Also surviving are 5 step great grandchildren: Amy, Sara, Bobbie, Archie, James and 2 step great great grandchildren Ashara and Alamara.
Visitation for Wayne will be on Monday, June 4th from 9 am until 12 with funeral services immediately following at 12 noon both at the Hack Funeral Home in Beecher with burial in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, Il.

Heartfelt sympathy and prayers of comfort for your family.
Thank you for allowing me into your home, for a short time, to help make Wayne more comfortable.
We'll also miss his presence in our fields.

Gary, Carol and family
We just heard about Wayne last Saturday at the "Tractors for a Cure" in Beecher. I'm so sorry I wasn't at the memorial service. Although I didn't see Wayne often, I always enjoyed stopping and talking to him. He was farmer through and through. I really don't know what to say but I'll miss seeing him now and then. Hope you are getting through all this and hope all is well with you guys otherwise.
