Caitlyn M. Morgan

It is with great sadness that the family of Caitlyn Marie Morgan (Thomas) announce her passing on October 10, 2020. God called her home from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) hospital after a long battle with a rare autoimmune disease called HLH. The daughter of Terry and Jerilyn Thomas (Riechers), Caitlyn was born on November 13, 1983 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. Caitlyn was a loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She was a life long resident of Beecher. Caitlyn attended Zion Lutheran Church School where as an adult she would teach Sunday School. Caitlyn attended Beecher High. She continued her education at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights. While there she majored in Special Education and worked part time at Elim Christian Services. After leaving college she continued working at Elim as a teacher with the senior adult population who were physically or mentally challenged. On February 21st 2006 she married her high school sweetheart Michael Ryan Morgan. Together they had one daughter Paige Renee. Caitlyn loved and adored Paige. She was the world to her. If you were lucky enough to be present when Caitlyn gazed into Paige’s face, the pure joy radiating from her could blind you. Caitlyn wanted nothing more than Paige have a wonderful life. Surviving Caitlyn are her parents, Terry and Jerilyn; Her husband Michael and her daughter Paige.She will be forever remembered by her brother Marc Allyn Thomas and his wife Luann (Copper). She is also survived by her Father-in-law, Michael R. Morgan and Mother -in-law Michelle Wojciechowski; Sister- in-law Norleen (Tom) Wendt; Brother-in-law Shawn (Stephanie) and sister-in-laws Kathleen and Greta Morgan. She will also be greatly missed by her Grandmother Rose Riechers and Grandmother -in-law Mary Burke along with many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home from 4pm until 8pm, visitation will also be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beecher from 10am until the funeral service 11am. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. We ask that you please follow the state’s guidelines where masks/face coverings and distancing are concerned.
