Linda A Meyer

Linda Ann Meyer joined Savior on Saturday, May 25th, 2024. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and recent great grandmother. She was known for her deep love and devotion to Jesus Christ and her family. Linda Ann Kramer was born on August 12, 1942, to Rev. David J. Kramer and his wife, Julia Ann Trippel Kramer. She is a graduate of Sparta High School in Evansville, IL. Linda graduated from Concordia University in 1990 with bachelor’s degree cum Laude, with Deaconess and director of Christian Education Certifications, and master’s degree Magnum cum Laude. Linda served as Deaconess in churches throughout Northern Illinois while also serving at Concordia University-Chicago as their Deaconess Internship Coordinator for 10 years. Linda was married to husband Gerald Glen Meyer for 32 years before the Lord called Gerald to his Heavenly rest in December 1995. Linda was a loving mother to 4 children: Melanie Joy, Michael Jeffrey, Michelle Marie, and Melissa Anita. She was a devoted grandmother to eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild: Jennifer Ashley Meyer (Mitchell) Stanford, Nicholas Adam Meyer, Elizabeth Amanda Meyer (Sean) Hatfield (Claire Elizabeth); Kelsey Marie (Adam Coughlin) Fear, Katlin Christine Fear, Karly Mei Fear; Jay David Fowler, Andrew James Fowler, and Hope Marie Fowler; Chloe Tyra Grenda, and Wyatt James Grenda. Linda is survived by her brothers James Kramer, wife Glenda, and Paul Kramer, wife Diane, as well as sisters-in law Delores Kramer and Betty Kramer. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. David and Julia Kramer, two brothers, David and Robert, and two nephews: Thomas Kramer and Brian Kramer. Visitation is from 10 to 11 am Saturday, June 1st, at Peace Lutheran Church – Eagle Lake Campus, 28054 S. Yates Ave. #3316, Beecher, Illinois, followed by a funeral service at 11 am followed by Internment. A luncheon will follow at Harry O’s, 13226 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake, IN.
