It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert M. Stempinski,74, of Beecher, Illinois, on April 23, 2026. Bob lived a life full of adventure, resilience, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who knew him. Bob's career began in his father's service station, where he learned about turning a wrench, repairing whatever broke and developing a work ethic that lasted all his life. He was a long-haul trucker, where his award-winning rig, "Sea Dreams", was a true reflection of his creativity and passion. The truck, adorned with an underwater theme featuring fish and coral reef, paid homage to Bob's love of scuba diving, a hobby he cherished in his downtime. His truck was a rolling testament to his adventurous spirit and beauty he found in the world around him. Later, Bob worked as a service technician for AmeriGas, but it was always the trill of open road and the lure of adventure that captured his heart. A true cowboy in spirit Bob also competed in Rodeo events, as an avid team roper. His Love for the cowboy lifestyle was evident in every aspect of his life, from the arena to the friendships he forged along the way. Bob's life was also defined by his remarkable tenacity. Over the years, he faced a series of serious medical challenges that would have felled most people a decade sooner. Yet, Bob fought with a strength and determination that inspired all who witnessed his struggle. His resilience in the face of adversity was nothing short of heroic, and his refusal to give up was to give up was a testament to his unwavering spirit. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn Cerny and Edwin Stempinski. He is survived by his loving wife and partner in adventure, Suzanne, his sister Donna Gross (Jim), and his cherished nieces Lee Diana (Matthew) and Laura Haugen (Jeremy), his dogs Kaylee and Zoe, Cat Kiki and a collection of friends, in-laws and outlaws. His family, friends, and community will forever remember his strength, humor, and the deep love he shared with those around him. Bob's memory will live on in the stories of his adventurous life, his incredible resilience, and the love he had for his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
