Donald J. Donaghue, 93, Beecher, Illinois passed away Saturday, February, 3, 2018. Donald was born November 18, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of James and Helen nee Reiter Donaghue. Donald was a WW2 veteran and worked at Time-Life Inc. in the computer department. Donald was an avid White Sox and Notre Dame fan. Surviving are his ex-wife Margaret Donaghue of Bonfield, four sons: Michael Donaghue of Chicago; Robert (Sue) Donaghue of Beecher; Kevin Donaghue of Chicago; and Peter (Helen) Donaghue of Winnetka; and three daughters: Kathleen (Kenneth) Wochnik of Orlando, Florida.; Janice (Michael) Galbreath of Peotone; and Helen (Wayne) Evers of Bonfield. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a sister Laverne Jeschke of Portland, Maine. Preceding Donald in death are his second wife Rita nee Walsh; son Joel and daughter-in-law Geri; and, great-grandson Jacob. Visitation will be at Hack Funeral Home, 753 Hodges St., Beecher, Illinois on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 511 N. Conrad Ave., Peotone, Illinois, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Abraham National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
