Glenn was born January 14, 1929 in Steger, a son of the late Albert and Minnie Troester Eckhoff. Glenn began his career driving for a local milk company with his father. This was put on hold while he served his country during the Korean War. After the war, Glenn enjoyed a career as a milkman for many years, before becoming a driver for Stroh’s beer and for Budweiser. A man of strong faith, Glenn was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park. He was also a member of the American Legion of Grant Park. In retirement, Glenn enjoyed driving for car dealerships, frequenting area coffee shops, and keeping up with his friends and family. He was blessed to travel in the months before his death, meeting two of his four great-grandchildren for the first time. He was known for his sweet tooth and often indulged in pie and ice cream.
