Wendell E. Timmer Sr., 86 of Beecher passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at University of Chicago Hospital. Wendell was born on October 20, 1932 in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Dr. William I. and Patricia Timmer nee Hart. Wendell married Charlotte Spicer, deceased, on April 4, 1956 in Madoc, Ontario Canada. He was a member of the Honor Guard at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Crete Masonic Lodge 763. Wendell is survived by his children, Debbie and the late Brent Kramer of Kankakee, Wendy Timmer, of Oak Forest, Charlotte and Gary Ruhbeck of Peotone, Wendell Eugene and Paula Timmer Jr. of Steger, Janet and Derrick Czuchra of Tinley Park, and one son who passed away in infancy, Eugene Ivan. 11 grandchildren Rebecca, Brian, Lauren, Matthew, Phillip, Katarina, Jacob, Duke and MacKenzie, Ryan, Sean, Travis, Christopher; 5 great grandchildren Elijah, Ariel, Damien, Grayson, Gatlin: 1 brother Willard Timmer. Sister in Laws Doreen Watt, Vera Mead, Verna Zinkie; brothers in law Gordon Spicer, Elwin and Beth Spicer, Ernie and Ruth Ann Spicer, Harvey and Leurece Spicer.Preceding in death were his parents, his wife in 2014, infant son Eugene Ivan; his brother William I Timmer Jr., brothers in law Mack and Roland Spicer, Lee Parks, William Zinkie and Garry Watt. Sister in laws Marilyn Timmer, Kay Spicer, Rhena Parks.Visitation will be held Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 2-8 at Hack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of The Holy Family in Park Forest, IL. Burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
