Clemens Stoeven, 94, Crete, IL, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in Orland Park, IL. Clemens was born June 7, 1920 in Lowell, IN the son of Edgar and Martha Stoeven nee Voltmer. He married Arlene Riechers on February 2, 1946 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Grant Park, IL. Clemens was the manager of the Ace Hardware in Chicago Heights for over 50 years and was in the Navy. Surviving are his son Larry (Carmella) Stoeven of Medinah, IL, his daughter Janice (James) Klaisner of Frankfort, IL, 3 granddaughters: Julie (Brent) Riemer of Cary, IL; Jessica (Neko) Zairis of Hobart, IN; Tina (Kurt) Reckamp of Crystal Lake, IL, one grandson Mark (Kimberly) Stoeven of Huntley, IL and four great grandchildren: Brock, Jake, Lexi and Mia. Preceded in death were his wife Arlene, one brother Clarence and one sister Ruth. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Zion Lutheran Church, 540 Oak Park Ave. Beecher, IL and Funeral will be immediately following at 12 noon with Rev. Ronald Rock and Rev. Aaron Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, IL. Memorials may be given To Zion Lutheran Church or Vitas Hospice.
