Esther Martha (Piepenbrink) Heldt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Esther (nee Piepenbrink) Heldt, 99, Beecher, Illinois, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. Esther was born on May 23, 1918 in rural Beecher, the third child of William J. and Mathilda (Neitzel) Piepenbrink. Esther was baptized on June 9, 1918 at St. John�s Lutheran Church (Eagle Lake) Beecher. After attending Lutheran School, Esther was confirmed on May 28, 1932. On January 22, 1939, Esther married Lester L. Heldt also at St. John�s Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with three sons; Richard, Leon and Ralph. Esther was a farmer�s wife, where she cleaned and candled all the eggs from the�chickens they raised. She also had a garden and did a lot of canning,�baking bread and making her special treat of Monster Cookies. Esther was involved in a lot of church work, being chairman of the Ladies Aid, teaching Sunday School, being involved in LWML, and making blankets until her health failed. Esther also enjoyed her family coming over and spending time with her. Surviving Esther are her sons Leon (Donna), Ralph (Marla) and daughter- in-law Judy Heldt. Also surviving Esther are her grandchildren: Rick (Theresa) Heldt, Tonya (Tom) Danielewicz, Angela (Bruce) Reardanz, Aaron Heldt, Chad (Melissa) Heldt, Todd (Jessica) Heldt, and Nicole (Steve) Hebel; great grandchildren: Kristen and Kimberly Danielewicz, Olivia, AJ, Connor Reardanz, Rylan, Brayden, Delaney Heldt, Carter Stell, Maddon Heldt, and Stephanie, Trevor and Andie Hebel. Also surviving Esther is one sister and brother-in-law Lorraine (Tom) Fink. Lester preceded Esther in death on February 9,1999, along with her son Richard on July 17, 1997, and one infant granddaughter Tamara in 1972. Also preceding her in death are sisters�Adelie, Amanda, Helen, Shirley, and one brother Martin. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Hack Funeral Home 753 Hodges St. Beecher, Illinois from 4 until 8 pm and funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 11456 N 11000E Rd Grant Park, Illinois 60940 at 11:00 am with a visitation from 10 until the time of services officiated by�Rev. Cory Estby. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers for Esther are Rick Heldt, Tom Danielewicz, Bruce Reardanz, Aaron, Chad, Todd Heldt and Steve Hebel.
